Proud to support The Big Draw
Proud to support The Big Draw, Petersfield.
The Big Draw events at St Peter’s Church in October half term were a huge success. Almost 1600 young artists from 7 local primary schools participated in a collaborative Schools Art Project, which has adorned the pillars of the church for the last few weeks. Together with a shoe designer, an arts facilitator and an animator, they ran pre-bookable art workshops on two mornings, which proved to be very popular. They filled the church with creative energy and activity, and the children took home lots of great artwork. Their Thursday morning free Drop-In and Draw session, which ran alongside Cafe Refresh (the regular community coffee morning at the church), was a real highlight. Rev Will Hughes estimated between 150 and 170 attendees of all ages joined us to draw together whilst chatting and eating cake.
